Job summary

Wallace Hind Selection LTD is seeking an experienced Manufacturing Manager to own production operations. You will lead a team of 3 direct and 30 indirect reports across a double day shift in a multi-site FMCG operation near Basingstoke.

As part of your responsibilities, you will plan, schedule and optimise production, oversee engineering and maintenance, ensure health and safety, and drive continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Production Manager or Manufacturing Manager in FMCG.
• Experience managing multi-skilled production teams.
• Strong leadership and people-management skills.
• Hands-on, shop-floor problem-solver.
• Able to use data (OEE, KPIs) to drive decisions.
• Clear communicator across functions.
• Full UK driving licence.
• Two sites within short distance.

Responsibilities

• People management and leadership - coaching, training, mentorship, performance management and developing a succession plan so you can grow
• Production operations - planning, scheduling, capacity, labour and production KPI's
• Engineering and maintenance - own the ppm schedule, asset management, capital expenditure utilising the in-house team and external suppliers / contractors
• Health, Safety & Compliance of your production operation insuring everything is carried out safely
• Continuous improvement of your department - you''ll identify opportunities to improve processes, SOP''s, lean manufacturing and problem solving
