Job description

We are looking for an exceptional candidate to lead the development of our carbon market data and analytical products. You will oversee the technical aspects of our expanding range of products to support the global carbon market, including data analysis, economic forecasting, client interface and report writing/editing (for both clients and the public). You will have management responsibility for teams of analysts covering different topics.

You will be driven, a creative thinker and intellectually curious. You should be able to effectively manage your own time and that of your teams and be capable of communicating complex issues in verbal and written format. You will also be passionate about improving the state of the world and addressing the challenge of climate change through the power of markets.

Key Responsibilities
  • Overseeing development of new product offerings in response to evolving client needs, shifting market dynamics and the competitive landscape. This will include close cooperation with peers from the Carbon Markets division of MSCI and wider teams to define and execute Go-To-Market strategies for successful product launches.
  • Managing teams of product analysts to support the delivery and expansion of product offerings.
  • Overseeing improvements to existing analytical products for Carbon Markets, including hands-on involvement with our market forecast, nature and geospatial models.
  • Working closely with colleagues in UK, US and India to continually advance the data and insights.
  • Communicating insights - both internally and externally through regular and ad hoc reports, direct analyst calls, webinars and conferences.
Qualifications
  • Strong academic track record, combined with >15 years of relevant work experience.
  • Degrees in economics or finance, specifically in the energy or environmental sector.
  • Exceptional analytical skills to focus on details as well as larger picture.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and prioritise accordingly.
  • People-person with proven ability to build and maintain internal and external relationships.
  • Ability to extract insights and communicate complex issues to senior-level audiences.
