Job description

The opportunity

Our client is evolving its product operating model as it scales its technology, service offering and international partner network. They are looking for a Head of Product Delivery to lead the internal product-delivery function and ensure Product Owners are well supported, aligned and able to deliver effectively alongside Engineering.

This is a people-first leadership role rather than a market-facing product strategy position. You will bring structure, clarity and effective line management to a growing Product Owner team, while coordinating roadmaps, dependencies and delivery across multiple product domains.

What you will do
  • Line-manage and develop an initial team of four Product Managers, growing to approximately eight over time.
  • Recruit and onboard two additional Product Managers as an early priority.
  • Create an effective operating rhythm for the Product Management team, centred on strong communication, accountability and development.
  • Own oversight of the wider product roadmap, ensuring dependencies and priorities are managed across product domains and development squads.
  • Work closely with Engineering leadership, Product Management and the Product Ops Lead to keep work flowing effectively from priority-setting through to delivery.
  • Help establish a scalable, well-structured product-delivery model as the organisation grows.
What we are looking for
  • Proven experience leading and line-managing Product Owners, Product Managers or similar product-delivery teams.
  • A people-first leadership style, with strong coaching, performance management and team-development capability.
  • Experience coordinating product roadmaps, cross-team dependencies and delivery across a multi-team technology environment.
  • The ability to bring structure without creating unnecessary process or bureaucracy.
  • Credibility working closely with software engineering and technology teams.
  • A practical, internally focused mindset: this role is about how teams operate and deliver, rather than owning customer-facing product strategy.
  • Strong stakeholder-management skills and the confidence to align differing priorities.

You will join at a pivotal point in the development of the product function. The organisation has multiple product domains and development squads, and is investing in a more scalable model for prioritising, building and improving its products and services.

This is an opportunity to shape the delivery culture, build a high-performing Product Owner team and make a visible impact on how the business operates.
