The Press Association (PA) is recruiting a Head of Procurement to lead and transform our Group procurement function from Leeds. Reporting to the CFO and guiding a team of six, the role drives a proactive business-partnering mindset, with a strong emphasis on technology procurement and end-to-end Procure-to-Pay ownership.

Qualifications

• Significant procurement and commercial leadership experience.
• Experience transforming procurement into a business partner model.
• Strong technology procurement background and supplier management.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop the Procurement team into a commercially focused partner.
• Develop and deliver a Group-wide procurement strategy aligned with priorities.
• Partner with senior leaders on spend and supplier decisions.
• Lead strategic procurement across key areas with savings and working-capital improvements.
• Strengthen sourcing, negotiation, supplier relationship and contract management.
• Improve visibility and control of third-party spend and risks.
• Own end-to-end global Procure-to-Pay process with automation and controls.
• Build cross-functional relationships across Procurement, Finance, Technology and ops.
