UPP Group Holdings Limited is seeking a Head of Procurement and Accounts Payable to lead the end-to-pay function and drive the purchase-to-pay strategy across a c.£60m third-party spend portfolio. The role sits on the CFO leadership team and will shape procurement, strengthen commercial controls, and deliver ESG-aligned value.

Qualifications

• Experience managing a significant third-party spend portfolio in a complex, multi-site organisation.
• Proven track record of delivering measurable savings, cost avoidance and commercial improvement.
• Leadership of strategic sourcing, category management, tendering and negotiations.
• Experience procuring utilities and managing energy broker relationships.
• Ability to transform procurement and accounts payable through improved processes, tech and automation.
• Strong governance, controls and UK procurement knowledge.
• Excellent commercial judgement and negotiation skills.
• Influence senior stakeholders and translate complex information into clear recommendations.

Responsabilités

• Design UK-wide procurement strategy to drive value, costs, and economies of scale.
• Lead category management across Hard FM, Soft FM, corporate services and utilities.
• Develop category strategies, specs, KPIs, and SLAs aligned with operational needs.
• Oversee high-value RFPs and tenders with effective commercial negotiations.
• Strengthen supplier relationships with performance scorecards and market intelligence.
• Oversee energy procurement and broker relationships using data for ESG decisions.
• Integrate ethical sourcing and local supply chains into procurement decisions.
• Lead and develop Procurement and Accounts Payable teams for accountability and continuous improvement.
• Oversee the purchase-to-pay process and improve AP controls and efficiency.
• Use digital tools and MI to provide data-led commercial insight to CFO and senior stakeholders.
• Ensure procurement activity complies with policies, governance, and regulatory requirements.
