Job summary

Eventus Legal in Skegness is seeking a Head of Private Client to lead a busy department within a dynamic firm. This full-time role offers a competitive salary reflecting leadership responsibilities and an opportunity to shape the team.

The role includes managing complex probate work, guiding colleagues, developing business, and progressing to directorship. Hybrid working up to two days from home after a three-month probation period, with free staff parking and a clear path to leadership.

Qualifications

• Qualified Solicitor or Legal Executive with over 5 years’ experience running a caseload.
• Previous managerial experience leading an established team.
• Substantial Private Client experience including independent management of complex probate matters.
• Business development and networking experience to grow the department.
• Ability to lead the department without regular director supervision.
• Strong practical experience and technical ability.

Responsibilities

• Manage a caseload of Private Client matters, including complex probate work.
• Oversee day-to-day department operations, prioritise matters and support fee-earning and admin staff.
• Provide technical guidance on complex Private Client matters and mentor colleagues.
• Supervise and develop fee-earning, paralegal and support staff.
• Identify opportunities to grow department capacity.
• Undertake business development and networking to build relationships and growth.
• Report to directors on progress and development needs.
