Job summary

SJC Legal in Skegness, Lincolnshire is seeking a Head of Private Client to lead and develop its Wills and Probate Department. This role offers significant autonomy, influence over direction, and potential progression to Director level.

The successful candidate will have eight+ years of Private Client experience, strong Wills/Probate/Trusts knowledge, and a drive for business development within a reputable firm.

Qualifications

• Minimum eight years' experience managing Private Client matters.
• Strong technical knowledge of Wills, Probate, Trusts and Estate Planning.
• Experience supervising or mentoring colleagues.
• Commercial awareness and an interest in business development.

Responsibilities

• Manage a varied caseload of complex and high-value Wills, Probate and Estate Administration matters.
• Oversee the day-to-day management and development of the department.
• Supervise, mentor and support junior fee earners.
• Maintain high standards of compliance, client care and file management.
• Drive business development and departmental growth.
• Work closely with the Directors on strategic planning.

Salary: £60,000+ DOE

Location: Skegness, Lincolnshire

SJC Legal is working with an established and well-regarded law firm in Skegness that is looking to appoint a Head of Private Client to lead and develop its Wills and Probate Department.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Private Client Solicitor, Chartered Legal Executive or highly experienced Paralegal looking to take the next step in their career. The successful individual will have significant autonomy, influence over the department's future direction and genuine potential to progress to Director level.
