Job summary

Rainfordberry Recruitment is seeking a Head of Pre Construction/Estimating for a London-based role. The candidate will lead an estimating team on high-quality refurbishments in the banking sector, including retail sites and regional/head offices.

The role emphasises strong experience in retail fit-out and banking projects, with a focus on delivering value through cost planning, tenders, and robust cost build-ups. London office 3 days a week, with site visits as required.

Qualifications

• Build and lead an estimating team focused on securing best value.
• Retail and banking experience highly beneficial, particularly Barclays.
• Drive value through cost planning, supply chain tendering, labour and material analysis, and alternative solutions.
• Ensure project P&L forecasts and margin assumptions are supported by robust cost build-ups and procurement plans.
• Deliver a robust handover to the commercial team at the client sign-off gateway.
• Lead new client tendering and provide strong commercial analysis.

The organisation has an enviable list of brand names amongst its client-base and the Head of Pre Construction/Estimating will join a team dedicated to delivering high-quality refurbishments in the banking sector. The projects will be a mix of retail sites and regional / head offices. He or she will have strong experience in retail Fit Out (ideally banking)
