Job summary

Headley Professional Recruitment Ltd is seeking an experienced Estimator/Pre-Construction Manager for a London-based interior fit out contractor. The role focuses on driving cost accuracy and robust commercial submissions from tender through to contract award, within a fast-paced environment.

You will manage a continuous bid pipeline, conduct site visits, and ensure margins are supported by solid costs and delivery assumptions. A car allowance, pension and hybrid flexibility are provided.

Qualifications

• 5+ years experience in estimating or pre-construction management within shopfitting/interior fit out or construction.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Excellent working knowledge of MS Office.

• Tender work packages across the supply base.
• Develop detailed labour and material breakdowns.
• Prepare and hand over allocation plans to the project delivery team.

Job Overview

We are recruiting Estimators and Pre-Construction Managers for our client in London.

The company is an interior fit out contractor who specialise in banking and retail fit out projects across the UK.

They have an excellent reputation and history of producing quality, fast track fit out projects across the sector for some leading clients such as Barclays, Lloyds Bank, Tesco, Sainsbury's etc…

Working with the commercial team the Estimators and Pre-Construction Managers will manage a continual pipeline of opportunities and will be responsible for ensuring accurate cost estimates and robust commercial submissions are in place for each bid, working across the whole fit out business. Taking responsibility for the commercial submission, you will oversee the bid from tender stage through to contract award. This is a role that requires the ability to work under pressure and to strict deadlines. It will require strong management and technical skills.

Duties and responsibilities

• Drive value from cost plans through scope review and procurement analysis.


• Tender work packages across the supply base.


• Develop detailed labour and material breakdowns.


• Prepare and hand over allocation plans to the project delivery team.


• Establish margin targets supported by robust costs and delivery assumptions.


• Undertake site visits and surveys.


• Feed findings back into survey and design processes to improve scope quality and completeness.

Experience Required

• 5+ years experience working in an estimating or pre-construction managers role within the shopfitting, interior fit out or construction sector


• Have strong written & verbal communication skills


• Excellent working knowledge of MS Office


• Able to manage own workload, achieving tight deadlines


• Full UK Drivers Licence
