Job summary

Rainfordberry Recruitment is seeking a Experience Quantity Surveyor for a market leading construction group in London. The role focuses on Fit Out/retail refurbishments, with a banking sector emphasis, joining a team delivering high-quality refurbishments on retail sites and regional/head offices.

The ideal candidate will be client-facing, with a proven track record on pre-construction to delivery, cost control and commercial reporting. London offices 3 days per week with site visits as required.

Qualifications

• Experience in Fit Out/retail refurbishments, ideally banking sector.
• Strong client-facing communication and stakeholder management.
• Good understanding of compliance, health & safety and reporting.

Responsibilities

• Take ownership of the agreed pre-construction brief and administer projects through delivery.
• Manage purchase orders, change control and invoicing.
• Prepare and manage client and subcontractor valuations.
• Undertake site visits to verify progress, scope and changes.
• Maintain accurate reporting of costs, margin and commercial risks.

A client facing, Quantity Surveyor with some experience in Fit Out/retail refurbishments (ideally banking) is required for a market leading group of construction companies. The organisation has an enviable list of brand names amongst its client-base and the Quantity Surveyorwill join a team dedicated to delivering high-quality refurbishments in the banking sector. The projects will be a mix of retail sites and regional / head offices.

Key Responsibilities

• Take ownership of the agreed pre-construction brief and administer projects through delivery.

• Maintain accurate reporting of costs, margin and commercial risks.

Suitable candidates will be able to point impressive CVs, detailing the projects that they have helped to deliver, ideally banking refurbishment. They will have excellent communication and people skills, for, as stated, this role is very client facing. Further, they will have a good understanding of compliance issues and health & safety.

Location:

London offices 3 day per week, with site visits as required.
