Job summary

Recco is seeking an ambitious Estimator to join our pre-construction team in Central London, handling tenders up to 60m across commercial, residential and hotel sectors. You will manage tenders from initial enquiry to submission, review docs for risks, and produce accurate estimates for cut & carve, refurbishment and new build projects.

You will also develop take-offs, prices and BOQs, obtain subcontractor quotations, and build robust supplier relationships while collaborating with commercial,

• Ability to review drawings, specs and BOQ for tender completeness.
• Strong take-off and pricing accuracy.
• Develops relationships with subcontractors and suppliers.
• Identifies risks and value engineering opportunities.

Responsibilities

• Manage tenders from enquiry through submission and handover.
• Review tender docs to identify requirements, risks and opportunities.

• Build a reliable subcontractor database and supplier relationships.
• Review drawings and scopes to ensure all elements are captured.
• Prepare tender analysis and ensure pricing is robust.
• Collaborate with commercial, pre-construction and operations during tender.
• Attend site visits and tender meetings as required.
• Identify exclusions and VE opportunities.
• Assist with tender programmes, preliminaries and methodologies.
• Ensure tenders are submitted on time and handover to delivery teams.

Due to continued growth, they are looking to appoint an Estimator to join their business, working on projects up to 60m in Central London.

This is a great opportunity for an ambitious Estimator to join a growing business at an exciting stage, given the opportunity to become an integral part of the pre-construction team.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage tenders from initial enquiry through to submission and handover.
• Review tender and contract documentation, identifying key requirements, risks and opportunities.
• Prepare accurate and competitive estimates for cut & carve, refurbishment and new build projects.
• Produce detailed take-offs, pricing and bills of quantities.
• Obtain and assess quotations from subcontractors and suppliers.
• Build strong relationships with the supply chain and develop a reliable subcontractor database.
• Review drawings, specifications and scopes of work to ensure all elements are captured within the tender.
• Prepare tender analysis and ensure pricing is commercially robust.
• Work closely with the commercial, pre-construction and operational teams throughout the tender process.
• Attend site visits and tender meetings where required.
• Identify potential risks, exclusions and value engineering opportunities.
• Assist with developing tender programmes, preliminaries and methodology information.
• Ensure tenders are completed accurately and submitted within required deadlines.
• Assist with the handover of successful tenders to the commercial and delivery teams.
