Job summary

Claire House in Wirral seeks an experienced Nursing Education Lead to develop and deliver a comprehensive training programme across community and in-patient services. You will oversee the Practice Education Team and drive governance, safeguarding, and competency development for care and family services staff, including volunteers where appropriate.

You will build regional and external partnerships for education, champion learning culture, and ensure compliance with national guidelines.

Qualifications

• Actively registered as a nurse with the NMC in Child, Adult, or Learning Disability fields.
• Post-registration experience in clinical education or training.
• Qualification in training or willingness to undertake.
• Demonstrated leadership and management experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop the Practice Education Team and education programme.
• Coordinate teaching across care and family services and governance teams.
• Monitor performance indicators and ensure safeguarding and policies are followed.
• Engage with regional palliative care networks and external training events.
• Lead student placements and annual education audits.
