Job summary
Derbyshire Healthcare NHS Trust is seeking an experienced educator to lead clinical training for School Nursing teams and supervise SCPHN students. You will guide practice education, assess competency, and support learners toward NMC registration.
The role emphasises evidence-based practice, patient-centred care, and collaborative workforce development within a Trust recognised for quality and inclusion.
Qualifications
- Must hold a Masters level qualification in a related field.
- UK professional registration is required.
- Level 4 safeguarding training completed.
- Nurse prescribing qualification held or eligible.
- Experience in School Nursing and the 0-19 public health agenda.
Responsibilities
- Provide and lead clinical education within practice to Health Visiting/School Nursing Teams including pre and post registration students.
- Support SCPHN students with assessments and practice outcomes.
- Guide staff to address competency issues and ensure Fit for Practice.
- Assess/develop and implement care plans within own and students' caseloads.
- Contribute to audits and evidence-based improvement initiatives.
