Mexa Solutions LTD, a growing IT consultancy, is opening a brand-new Head of PMO role to shape how it plans, governs and delivers projects at scale.

You will lead the PMO from strategy to standards, build governance, and coach a small team of PMs and Coordinators, acting as the trusted voice for internal stakeholders and external customers. This is a hybrid role based near Brentwood, Essex.

Build the PMO function from scratch for a growing IT Consultancy

Head of PMO £80-90k + profit share Hybrid, Brentwood, Essex

Projects are now central to that growth and the business is creating a brand new Head of PMO role: a senior leader to shape how it plans, governs and delivers projects at scale.

Your new role

This is a leadership and strategy role, not a hands-on delivery seat. You'll join the senior management team, report to the Service Director, and own the vision and standards for project delivery across the business. You will:

• Build the function - define the PMO's strategy, structure and ways of working.
• Create governance frameworks and standards that fit the work coming in.
• Manage a small, capable team of PMs and Coordinators and coach and develop them.
• Act as the credible trusted voice to both internal stakeholders and external customers.

What you'll bring

We are looking for an experienced PMO leader who can build functions, processes and who is eager to improve the way a business delivers its projects. You'll bring:

• Experience of building or transforming a PMO or project function.
• Background in an MSP, IT Services/Consultancy or similar technology delivery business.
• Leadership and mentoring experience.
• The practical mindset to build things from the ground up.

It is a hybrid position with 3 days a week on site at their office near Brentwood and 2 days from home.
