Job summary

Mexa Solutions in the United Kingdom is creating a brand new Head of PMO role to shape how projects are planned, governed and delivered at scale. This is a leadership and strategy position, not a hands-on delivery seat.

You will build the PMO function, define governance, coach a small team of PMs and Coordinators, and act as the trusted voice to internal stakeholders and external customers. Hybrid role with 3 days on site near Brentwood and 2 days from home.

Qualifications

• Experience building or transforming a PMO or project function.
• Background in an MSP, IT Services/Consultancy or similar technology delivery business.
• Leadership and mentoring experience.
• Practical mindset to build things from the ground up.

Projects are now central to that growth and the business is creating a brand new Head of PMO role: a senior leader to shape how it plans, governs and delivers projects at scale.

This is a leadership and strategy role, not a hands-on delivery seat. You’ll join the senior management team, report to the Service Director, and own the vision and standards for project delivery across the business.

You will:

• Build the function – define the PMO’s strategy, structure and ways of working.
• Create governance frameworks and standards that fit the work coming in.
• Manage a small, capable team of PMs and Coordinators and coach and develop them.
• Act as the credible trusted voice to both internal stakeholders and external customers.

We are looking for an experienced PMO leader who can build functions, processes and who is eager to improve the way a business delivers its projects.

You’ll bring:

• Experience of building or transforming a PMO or project function.
• Background in an MSP, IT Services/Consultancy or similar technology delivery business.
• Leadership and mentoring experience.
