Job summary

AWC STAFF SERVICES LTD is recruiting a Head of Planning in Manchester to lead and develop a growing planning capability across infrastructure projects. The role offers hybrid working with 2-3 days in the office and client meetings, and a salary range of £90,000-£95,000 plus package.

Qualifications

• Significant planning or project controls experience within construction, infrastructure or major projects.
• Proven leadership and team management skills.
• Strong technical knowledge of project planning and programme management.
• Experience developing client relationships and supporting business growth.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop a team of 4-5 planners, including Senior Planners.
• Provide technical leadership across infrastructure projects.
• Oversee programme development, baselines, critical path analysis, progress monitoring and recovery planning.
• Build strong client relationships and identify new business opportunities.
• Contribute to proposals, tenders, client meetings and business development.
• Work closely with directors to shape and grow the planning function.
