Job summary

Foster & May in Manchester is seeking a Head of Planning to lead planning for major infrastructure and utilities projects across the UK. The role is based in Manchester with hybrid working, offering a senior opportunity to own the planning function and influence project outcomes.

You will develop the planning team, cultivate strong client relationships and actively identify and secure new business opportunities, while providing senior planning guidance to project teams and clients.

Qualifications

• Experience in planning or project controls within construction, infrastructure or major projects.
• A strong technical understanding of project planning, including programme development, baselines, critical path, float, progress measurement, forecasting and recovery planning.
• Experience contributing to business development, including building client relationships, identifying new opportunities and supporting the growth of planning services.
• Experience providing senior planning advice to project teams and clients.
• The ability to interrogate complex programmes and communicate key issues clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

An established national construction consultancy is looking for a Head of Planning to join its successful and growing team, delivering major construction and infrastructure projects across the UK.

Based in Manchester, with hybrid working, this is a senior opportunity to take ownership of the planning function, working across major construction and infrastructure projects while helping shape and grow the service.

Alongside supporting the successful delivery of projects, the successful candidate will develop the planning team, build strong client relationships and play an active role in identifying and securing new business opportunities.
