Simmer is one of the UK's fastest-growing consumer brands, built on a simple idea: healthy food should taste extraordinary.
Founded by brothers Simmy and Jhai with £10 of ingredients, we've grown into a profitable, bootstrapped £100M+ ARR business, serving tens of thousands of customers across the UK. We've been named among The Sunday Times 100 fastest-growing private companies for three consecutive years, ranking 5th in the latest list.
We've achieved that growth without external investment, a large corporate structure or layers of management. The founders are still deeply involved, decisions happen quickly and the people who join us have the opportunity to materially influence what we become.
But we still think we're early.
Our ambition is to become the defining brand in healthy eating, expanding into new products, new markets and opportunities beyond the category we started in.
Performance marketing has been fundamental to Simmer's growth.
We've built a substantial acquisition engine, backed by significant media investment, a strong product and an entirely in-house creative and marketing team.
But we believe there's considerably more potential to unlock.
We're looking for someone who can take ownership of acquisition at scale and make it materially better.
Someone who understands the nuances of managing significant media budgets, knows when increasing spend creates value and when it simply introduces inefficiency, and can identify opportunities that others might overlook.
The challenge isn't just managing what already works. It's working out what could work considerably better.
Which customers aren't we reaching? Why does one creative angle outperform another? Where are we losing people between seeing an ad and placing an order? Are we measuring the right things? And where should we be investing our time and money next?
We're looking for someone who instinctively thinks about these questions and has the technical ability to turn their answers into results.
You’ll work directly with our founders and growth leadership, taking hands‑on ownership of performance marketing while helping shape how we approach acquisition more broadly.
A particularly important part of this role is the relationship between performance and creative.
We have an in‑house team of content producers, brand specialists and creatives. We want someone who can work closely with them to identify what makes advertising effective, develop stronger concepts and build a continuous cycle of testing, learning and improvement.
You’ll have substantial media investment to work with, the resources to run meaningful experiments and the freedom to challenge existing approaches.
It's a rare combination: meaningful scale, genuine autonomy and the opportunity to build something better without the bureaucracy that often comes with it.
We want someone who enjoys getting into the accounts, understanding what's happening and making the decisions that improve performance.
We're less interested in your title than what you've personally achieved. You might already be leading performance marketing at a high‑growth consumer brand. Equally, you might be an exceptional Performance Marketing Manager ready to take on considerably more ownership.
You're commercially instinctive. You naturally think about why customers buy, what makes creative work and where acquisition performance could be improved.
You're a builder. You enjoy solving problems, testing ideas and making things better rather than maintaining an established setup or managing from a distance.
You're curious about your craft. You don't just want to know which campaign won. You want to understand why it won, what you can learn from it and how you can repeat that success.
You take ownership. You don't wait to be told what needs fixing. You identify opportunities, move quickly and take responsibility for the outcome.
You're motivated by the challenge. You want the opportunity to influence a commercially significant acquisition function, work alongside ambitious people and see the impact of your decisions.
We've already built an acquisition engine that works at scale. We're looking for someone with the judgement, curiosity and ability to make it considerably better.
