Job summary

Integrated Health Care Management Group (IHCM) in Hare Hatch, Reading, is seeking a Head of Payroll to lead our group-wide payroll function for 2,500 colleagues. This senior role focuses on accurate delivery, governance and system modernization, including ERP implementation and rostering integration.

You'll partner with Finance, HR and Operations, drive improvements, and develop a high-performing payroll team across multiple entities.

Qualifications

• Senior payroll leadership in a large multi-entity UK organisation.
• Strong knowledge of UK payroll legislation and controls.
• Experience delivering payroll system implementations or migrations.
• Ability to translate payroll data for senior stakeholders.
• Hands-on, collaborative approach to change management.

Responsibilities

• Lead group payroll function with governance and controls.
• Develop and mentor payroll team.
• Oversee compliance, pensions, statutory payments, holiday pay, and NMW.
• Drive system transformation and automation.
• Collaborate with Finance, HR and Operations to find cost savings.
• Provide strategic payroll advice to CFO and leadership.
