Zusammenfassung

HRC Recruitment is partnering with a progressive client to recruit an experienced Payroll Manager. You will oversee a high-volume payroll function for 850+ employees, ensuring accuracy, compliance and timely delivery across monthly and two-weekly cycles, including CIS for subcontractors.

Reporting to the Head of HR, you will lead a dedicated payroll team, drive process improvements and collaborate with HR and Finance to provide an exceptional payroll service.

Qualifikationen

• Strong knowledge of UK payroll legislation, HMRC regulations and the CIS Scheme.
• CIPP qualification preferred.
• Experience leading and developing a payroll team.
• Strong understanding of integrated HR and Finance systems.
• Advanced payroll software knowledge and Excel skills.
• Outstanding attention to detail with exceptional organisational skills.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
• Ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines.
• Professional and discreet handling of confidential information.

Aufgaben

• Lead and manage the Payroll team, ensuring a high-performing and customer-focused service.
• Manage end-to-end processing of monthly and two-weekly payrolls for 850+ employees.
• Oversee CIS payroll, ensuring accurate verification, deductions and submissions.
• Ensure payroll data accuracy including starters, leavers, salary changes, overtime, bonuses and statutory payments.
• Review and approve payrolls prior to final sign-off.
• Maintain payroll schedules and deadlines.
• Ensure compliance with UK payroll legislation, HMRC requirements and CIS regulations.
• Manage statutory payments including SSP, SMP, SPP and SAP.
• Complete HMRC submissions and maintain audit-ready payroll records.
• Oversee payroll systems and drive improvements with software providers.
