Job summary

Airedale NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a Head of Patient Flow to lead daily and forward planning of patient flow, discharge and complex discharge across the Trust’s bed base. You will work with clinical, nursing, operational and system partners to ensure timely, appropriate care, in the right place.

Qualifications

Experience leading hospital patient flow, discharge and capacity planning.
Proven ability to work with multidisciplinary teams and system partners.
Strong governance, risk management and financial stewardship experience.

Responsibilities

Provide visible leadership for patient flow across the bed base 24/7.
Lead day-to-day and forward planning for flow, capacity and discharge.
Develop and implement operational policies and procedures with clinical leaders.
Drive continuous improvement to meet national and local performance targets.
