TalentPool is proud to be partnering exclusively with a fast-growing International Sports & Health supplement business as they continue to scale their UK & Ireland operations.

We are seeking a Head of Operations on a fixed-term maternity cover contract to take full ownership of Logistics, Customer Service, and Order Management across the region. This is a hands-on, build-and-optimise role, ideal for an ambitious operations leader who thrives in dynamic, high-growth environments and can make an immediate impact.

The Role

Reporting into senior leadership and working closely with HQ, Sales, and external partners, you’ll have end-to-end responsibility for UK operations while also shaping and optimising supply into Ireland.

From day one, you’ll be empowered to challenge, improve, and strengthen existing processes. As you settle into the role, your focus will extend beyond day-to-day execution to driving efficiencies, implementing operational improvements, and ensuring the business is set up for both current needs and future growth.

The role is based at the company’s UK headquarters in Central London (3 days onsite)

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead, coach, and develop the local operations team, fostering a high-performance and collaborative culture
  • Take overall responsibility for UK & Ireland operations, acting as the key point of contact for all operational matters
  • Establish, develop, and optimise supply chain processes across demand planning, procurement, inventory, and logistics
  • Own inventory management, balancing product availability with cost control and waste reduction
  • Manage and optimise 3PL relationships to ensure service excellence and cost efficiency
  • Oversee customer service and order management to ensure smooth fulfilment and high service levels
  • Partner cross-functionally with Sales, Marketing, Finance, and HQ to support growth and continuous improvement
  • Own and manage the operations budget, driving data-led, sustainable decisions

What We’re Looking For

  • 4+ years’ experience in operations, supply chain, logistics, or demand planning
  • Proven ability to take ownership and lead, either through people management or cross-functional deliveryStrong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a process-improvement mindset
  • Experience working with ERP systems, demand planning tools, and logistics partners
  • A structured, hands-on approach with a strong focus on execution and outcomes
