RE Personnel is seeking a Head of Operations for a Gloucestershire-based engineering and manufacturing SME. The role leads day-to-day operations across manufacturing, field engineering, warehousing, logistics and administration, with a hands-on leadership style and a focus on accountability and performance.

You will manage managers and supervisors, set clear KPIs, drive improvements, and work closely with Finance, Technical, Purchasing and HR to support growth and profitability.

Formación

• Experience in a senior operational leadership role within engineering, manufacturing or technical environments.
• Experience managing managers and supervisors with clear accountability.
• Strong commercial awareness with budgets, labour costs, productivity and margins.
• Proven track record delivering operational improvements in an SME.
• Strong people management skills and the ability to develop teams.
• Hands-on approach working with both operations teams and senior directors.

Responsabilidades

• Take ownership of day-to-day operations across manufacturing, field engineering, warehouse/materials, logistics and admin.
• Lead and develop managers/supervisors with clear responsibilities and performance standards.
• Improve planning and coordination of engineers, materials, vehicles and site requirements.
• Introduce KPIs, processes and controls to boost efficiency and visibility.
• Drive continuous improvement and address recurring operational issues.
• Manage budgets and support improvements in labour utilisation, costs and productivity.
• Collaborate with MD, Finance, Technical, Purchasing and HR to support growth.
