Solutions Driven is collaborating with a successful UK manufacturer of specialist engineered equipment to appoint an Operations Director who will join the board. This board-level role reports to the Managing Director and leads the main UK site, owning manufacturing, supply chain, quality, HSE, logistics, purchasing and continuous improvement.

This is a fully site-based position with some international travel.

Qualifications

• Senior operations leadership in low volume, high mix engineered manufacturing.
• Hands-on leader comfortable at SME level with autonomy.
• Track record in lean CI, international supply chain and data-led operations.
• Visible leader who develops people and builds succession.
• Engineering background, ideally mechanical.

I'm working with a successful, growing UK manufacturer of specialist engineered equipment to appoint an Operations Director to their board.

The business has grown consistently, both organically and through acquisitions. Its commercial and product plans are clear. It now needs an operations leader who can match that growth with a plan: building capacity, improving systems and shaping the future manufacturing footprint across its UK and international operations.

Reporting to the Managing Director and leading the main UK site, you'll own manufacturing, supply chain, quality, HSE, logistics, purchasing and continuous improvement. You'll also play a full part on the board.

What we're looking for:

• Senior operations leadership in low volume, high mix engineered manufacturing
• A hands-on leader who’s comfortable close to the detail in an SME, autonomous subsidiary or similar business
• A track record in lean and continuous improvement, international supply chain and data-led operations
• A visible, positive leader who develops people and builds succession
• An engineering background, ideally mechanical

This is a fully site-based role within commuting distance of Maidenhead, with some international travel.
