Job summary

Talbot Underwriting Ltd in London seeks a Head of Operations to shape and deliver the strategy across underwriting, claims and support services. You will lead an Operations team, manage outsourcing providers and partner with CFO and other leaders to meet targets.

Qualifications

• Detailed knowledge of operational excellence tools and techniques.
• Extensive knowledge of underwriting processes and their relation to Operations, Underwriting, and Claims.
• Extensive experience in the insurance industry, specifically Lloyd’s/London Market (re)insurance.

Responsibilities

• Create and drive Operations’ strategy supporting Talbot’s goals and targets.
• Own Outsource Service Provider relationships; onboard, monitor performance and exit services when needed.
• Support CFO in procurement and vendor management, coordinating with Global Sourcing.
• Design and embed an efficient operating model with cost controls and service standards.
• Ensure regulatory, Lloyd’s standards and codes of practice are met with strong governance and controls.
• Build and lead an Operations team; develop talents and succession planning.
