Job Description

Role Overview: As Head of Operations and a member of the Executive team, you will be responsible for leading the operational strategy and execution across all 70 pubs. You will ensure consistent delivery of high-quality guest experiences, drive commercial performance, and lead a team of area and site-level managers to achieve operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities

1. Strategic Leadership: Develop and implement operational strategies aligned with the company's growth objectives and brand values. Ensure these strategies are embedded in the business to make a real impact.
2. Team Management: Lead, inspire, and develop a high-performing operations team, including area managers and general managers. Be a champion for talent development to ensure our people have opportunities to thrive and contribute to our success.
3. Performance Management: Monitor KPIs across the estate, ensuring profitability, efficiency, and customer satisfaction targets are met or exceeded.
4. Operational Excellence: Standardise best practices across sites while allowing for local flexibility and innovation.
5. Customer Experience: Champion a guest-first culture, maintaining high standards of service, cleanliness, and hospitality.
6. Compliance & Safety: Ensure all pubs operate in full compliance with health & safety, licensing, and food hygiene regulations.
7. Budgeting & Cost Control: Oversee operational budgets, manage costs, and identify opportunities for efficiency and margin improvement.
8. Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with marketing, HR, finance, and other teams to support business-wide initiatives.

Qualifications

• Solid experience leading operations in a high-quality hospitality setting, with multi-site experience. Ideally, you will have worked with premium brands and venues that value their individual character.
• Excellent communication, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• Ability to create and deliver change, bringing standards and aspirations for the pubs to life.
• Thrives in a fast-paced environment, driven by results, quality, service, team, and financial goals.
• Builds strong relationships within the division and with key stakeholders across the business.
• Adaptable and resilient, maintaining a positive and focused attitude on achieving goals.

A degree, equivalent qualification, or relevant experience in similar senior operational roles.
