Job summary

HSBC is seeking a Head of Operational Resilience, Technology, to embed resilience across the GCIO and move from programme delivery into scalable BAU operations. Based in Sheffield, you will mature processes, artefacts and tooling so they’re consistently adopted and measurable, strengthening incident learning across Technology and beyond.

You’ll lead a global team of around 30, govern senior stakeholders, manage vendors, and shape the operating model for the next phase of resilience maturity.

Qualifications

• Deep understanding of operational resilience risk and customer impact mitigation.
• Experience in technology risk management across multi-market environments.
• Proven track record maturing BAU operating models after major programmes.
• Experience leading large, multi-disciplinary teams with budget accountability.

Responsibilities

• Oversee a global team of around 30 people, including managing managers.
• Shape transition from programme delivery to sustainable BAU operating model for Technology resilience.
• Own the resilience process and tooling roadmap across Technology, ensuring scale.
• Strengthen incident learning and translate lessons into corrective actions.
• Govern senior stakeholder engagement in resilience forums and leadership meetings.
• Manage vendors and managed services to meet HSBC standards and outcomes.
• Drive continuous improvement across processes and tooling from idea to adoption.
