Job summary

Places Leisure, part of Places for People, is seeking a Head of Operational Optimisation to lead data-led resource planning and cost management across our multi-site network. You will improve labour planning, scheduling and forecasting, ensuring the right colleagues and resources are in the right place to hit operational and commercial goals.

This role involves frequent travel to sites (2–3 days a week) and close collaboration with senior leaders in Operations, Finance and Technology to drive

Qualifications

• Significant experience in labour planning and workforce management.
• Experience forecasting operational demand into practical labour plans.
• Experience analysing labour and non-labour P&L performance.
• Practical experience using DILO, time and motion studies or equivalent methods.
• Advanced experience using Microsoft Excel and Power BI for modelling and reporting.

Responsibilities

• Lead development of smarter, data-led ways of managing resources and operating costs across Places Leisure.
• Improve labour planning, scheduling and forecasting to ensure the right colleagues and resources are in the right place at the right time.
• Identify efficiencies, reduce avoidable spend and develop practical cost models for investment decisions.
• Support refits, bids and growth opportunities with robust cost models and payback assumptions.
• Collaborate with Operations, Finance, Technology, Product, Customer Service and Business Development.
