Job summary

iCOMAT seeks a hands-on Facilities Manager to own UK sites end to end, including Gloucester, Swindon and Bristol. You will lead facilities from shell to operation, manage budgets and contractors, and ensure compliance across all sites.

The role requires strong project management, building services expertise and an ability to travel between sites while growing the function as the company scales globally. UK-based preferred.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in facilities management or site operations in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
• Track record of delivering fit-outs, relocations, machine installations or site projects on time and on budget.
• Strong project management skills from scoping and budgeting through contractor coordination and handover.
• Solid knowledge of building services: utilities, HVAC, compressed air, electrical and mechanical plant.
• Experience managing facilities budgets and service contracts.
• Familiarity with statutory compliance and planned preventative maintenance.
• Confidence selecting and managing contractors and holding them to cost, quality and delivery.
• Hands-on, practical approach to building the function while running it day to day.
• Attention to detail and accuracy: missed inspections stop a factory.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills from shop floor to leadership.

Responsibilities

• Taking facilities from shell to fully operational: fit-outs, machine installations, utilities upgrades, layout changes and site moves.
• Owning day-to-day facilities operations across Gloucester, Swindon and Bristol: building fabric, utilities, HVAC, compressed air, lifting equipment, access control, security, cleaning and waste.
• Building the planned preventative maintenance and statutory inspection programme and keeping records audit-ready.
• Selecting, inducting and managing contractors and negotiating contracts across maintenance, security, cleaning, waste and utilities.
• Coordinating with operations, engineering, quality and leadership to align sites, projects and compliance and reporting facilities KPIs.
