Job summary

Wayve is seeking a senior ML engineering leader in London to guide a growing team and shape the technical roadmap for offline scene understanding and driving models. You will drive architecture decisions, review designs, and ensure reliability for customer-facing deliverables.

Leverage Transformer-based and multimodal approaches, coordinate with UK/US teams, and translate business goals into strategic plans while mentoring senior engineers.

Qualifications

• 8+ years in ML engineering with hands-on CV experience.
• 2+ years leading or mentoring senior engineers.
• Staff-level depth in transformers, multimodal and foundation models.
• Proficient in Python; strong production-grade ML judgment.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop a London-based team of Senior ML Engineers, setting technical direction.
• Align roadmaps across on-vehicle modelling, foundation models, Evaluation, and more.
• Translate business goals into sprint, quarterly and multi-year plans.
• Review designs and code to raise engineering quality and reliability.
• Coordinate with UK/US teams and stakeholders for roadmaps.
