Job summary

Springtide is seeking an Associate Director - Mechanical for the UK to lead discipline governance, technical direction, and assurance across its European data centre portfolio. You will drive high-quality mechanical design for mission-critical facilities, oversee cooling and HVAC systems, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure resilience, sustainability, and efficiency across projects.

Qualifications

• Senior-level mechanical engineering expertise in mission-critical facilities.
• Breadth in cooling, HVAC, public health, energy efficiency and sustainability.
• Experience leading QA/QC, governance, and design standardisation.

Responsibilities

• Lead discipline governance and QA/QC reviews.
• Define mechanical design standards and design philosophies.
• Oversee cooling plant and HVAC system design across projects.
• Support business development with technical input and proposals.
• Coordinate with cross-functional teams for integrated design.
• Lead technical reviews of BOD, P&IDs, and reports.
• Drive sustainability, energy efficiency, and heat reuse initiatives.
• Mentor engineers and manage resources.
