Job summary

WSP in the UK & Ireland is seeking an experienced Mechanical Technical Director for our London data centre projects within the Mission Critical Facilities team. You will lead a multidisciplinary mechanical engineering group, delivering efficient, scalable DC solutions while aligning with client goals and budgets.

You'll drive innovation in cooling, energy management and security, mentor engineers, and collaborate with clients, developers and architects across the UK and Europe.

Qualifications

• Chartered Engineer status or working towards it.
• Strong knowledge of HVAC, cooling, energy management and mechanical systems.
• Experience leading a team of mechanical engineers and technicians.
• Familiarity with data centre design standards and safety requirements.

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day management, vision, values and leadership of the team.
• Develop client relationships and brand within the UK & EMEA.
• Meet monthly/annual budgets and contribute to forecasting.
• Oversee team performance, pipeline, finance and operations.
• Collaborate with clients, developers, contractors and architects to secure projects.
