Job summary

WSP in London is seeking an experienced Senior to Associate Mechanical Engineer to lead design of data centre mechanical systems within the Mission Critical Facilities team.

You will deliver mechanical distribution design, advise clients on system options, and coordinate with MEp disciplines across UK and EMEA projects. This role demands strong leadership, UK safety standards knowledge, and 3D design software proficiency.

Qualifications

• Design experience of mechanical systems for data centres.
• Chartered status or working towards it with CIBSE/IMechE.
• Knowledge of UK/EU regulations and design guides.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design of data centre mechanical systems and equipment.
• Produce calculations and technical specifications for tender.
• Coordinate with Architects and Structural engineers.
• Monitor installation to ensure compliance with design and safety codes.
• Provide design development notes and option reports.
