Job summary

Reddish Hall School, part of Outcomes First Group, is seeking a Deputy Head of Maths to shape strategic leadership and develop the Maths provision for KS3–KS4, including GCSE Maths, Functional Skills and alternative pathways.

You will work with the Head of Maths to drive high standards in teaching, learning and assessment, track progress with data, and tailor interventions to support students with SEND, SEMH and other needs.

Qualifications

• QTS/QTLS or equivalent teaching qualification.
• Strong secondary Maths teaching experience.
• Excellent knowledge of GCSE Maths, Functional Skills and alternative pathways.

Responsibilities

• Supporting the Head of Maths in leading and developing the Maths curriculum across KS3 and KS4.
• Teaching engaging Maths lessons and delivering GCSE Maths, Functional Skills and alternative qualification pathways.
• Tracking student progress, analysing assessment data and implementing effective interventions.
• Helping develop schemes of work, resources and learning strategies that meet individual student needs.
• Modelling outstanding classroom practice and supporting colleagues across the department.
• Working collaboratively with pastoral, SEN and therapy teams to ensure a joined-up approach to student success.
• Promoting high expectations, strong behaviour management and positive relationships.
• Contributing to curriculum development, quality assurance and wider school improvement priorities.
