Job summary

Southwark College, in partnership with The Supply Register Ltd. and NCG, seeks a Head of Curriculum Maths for a 1-year contract. Lead a high-performing Maths department, shape curriculum and drive learner achievement on a central London campus.

You will oversee GCSE Maths and Functional Skills for study programme and adult learners, directing planning, quality, and performance management while collaborating across the College and external stakeholders for alignment with skills needs.

Qualifications

• A degree in Mathematics or a relevant professional qualification.
• Significant sector experience.
• Experience leading curriculum teams and improving learner outcomes.
• Strong knowledge of FE quality frameworks, curriculum planning and performance management.
• Experience developing staff to deliver teaching and learning excellence.
• Commitment to innovation, inclusion and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

• Provide inspirational leadership and strategic direction for Maths provision.
• Oversee GCSE Maths and Functional Skills programmes for study and adult learners.
• Lead curriculum planning, timetabling, staffing and resources.
• Drive learner achievement and use data to monitor progress.
• Collaborate across College to keep Maths central to student success.
• Represent the department in College leadership discussions.
