Uxbridge College is seeking a Head of School for English and Maths to lead GCSE and Functional Skills delivery across campus. You will work with curriculum leaders, ESOL and student support to align provision with local skills priorities and drive excellence in teaching, learning and assessment.

The role requires a full Level 5 teaching qualification and proven experience in leading FE English/Maths, curriculum teams, change management and quality assurance.

Formación

• Degree qualified, with a full Level 5 teaching qualification recognised by the FE sector.
• Experience of leading and managing GCSE English and/or maths and Functional Skills provision within a Further Education or post-16 setting, including improving attendance, progress and achievement.
• Proven experience of leading, managing and developing curriculum teams to achieve high standards of teaching, learning and assessment, including staff development and performance management.
• Experience of managing change and implementing curriculum improvements, including qualification reforms and changing learner needs.
• Knowledge and experience of quality assurance and improvement processes, including using performance data, self-assessment and improvement planning to raise standards.
• Experience of working with vocational curriculum leaders, ESOL and student support teams to improve English and maths participation, attendance, progress and achievement.

Responsabilidades

• Deliver GCSE and Functional Skills English and maths across the College.
• Lead curriculum planning, development and quality assurance.
• Directly manage academic and support staff and drive teaching excellence.
• Lead on responding to qualification reforms and assessment requirements.
• Collaborate with vocational leaders, ESOL and student support teams to raise learner outcomes.
• Ensure site-based delivery with professional development and performance management.
