Southwark College is seeking an ambitious Head of Curriculum Maths to provide inspirational leadership for GCSE Maths and Functional Skills, overseeing study programme learners and adult students. Based at the central London campus, you will drive teaching quality and curriculum development.

You will lead a team of teachers, manage timetable planning, staffing and resources, and use performance data to secure measurable improvements.

This is an exciting opportunity for an ambitious and experienced curriculum leader to drive excellence across a high-profile Maths department, leading a dedicated team and shaping the educational journey of hundreds of learners each year.

Based at Southwark College's vibrant central London campus, you will play a key strategic role in delivering outstanding teaching, learning and assessment, ensuring students develop the skills, confidence and qualifications needed to progress successfully into further study, employment and apprenticeships.

About the Role

As Head of Curriculum Maths, you will provide inspirational leadership and strategic direction for the College's Maths provision, overseeing GCSE Maths and Functional Skills programmes for both study programme learners and adult students.

Leading a team of highly committed teachers and support staff, you will be responsible for curriculum planning, quality improvement, performance management, budget oversight and driving learner achievement. You will work collaboratively with colleagues across the College to ensure Maths remains at the heart of student success.
