Job summary

Bourne Epsom and Ewell High School | Education Trust invites applications for a committed teacher to lead teaching and learning within a dynamic department. You will develop curriculum, monitor pupil progress and contribute to the school’s improvement plans.

The role requires safeguarding commitment, strong communication with parents and governors, and active collaboration across the Trust network to raise standards and outcomes for all pupils.

Qualifications

• Qualified Teacher Status or equivalent.
• Ability to evidence safeguarding of children.
• Ability to evidence effective continuous professional development.
• Ability to evidence effective communication with a wide audience/range of stakeholders.
• Proven track record in establishing effective relationships with parents, governors and the community.
• Ability to evidence excellent IT skills on a wide range of programmes and software.
• Ability to demonstrate an understanding of wider educational issues, knowledge of the appropriate key stage curriculum and national strategies.

Responsibilities

• Deliver the curriculum across key stages and develop teaching materials and schemes of work.
• Be accountable for pupils’ attainment, progress and outcomes within your class(es).
• Lead curriculum development and participate in departmental improvement planning.
• Promote high standards of behaviour and safeguarding; manage and support staff where appropriate.
• Collaborate with the Trust network, share best practices and contribute to school-wide developments.
