Job summary

Epsom and Ewell High School, part of Bourne Education Trust, is seeking a Head of Maths to lead teaching standards and the strategic development of the Maths department. The role focuses on improving student progress, overseeing evaluation and improvement plans, and developing curriculum and assessment across key stages.

ASAP start and a permanent, full-time contract. Qualified Teacher Status or equivalent required; commitment to safeguarding and ongoing professional development is essential.

Qualifications

• Qualified Teacher Status or equivalent.
• Ability to demonstrate an awareness, understanding and commitment to the protection and safeguarding of children.
• Ability to evidence effective continuous professional development.

Responsibilities

• Ensure excellent standards of teaching & learning across the subject.
• Take responsibility for the strategic overview of the department, including self-evaluation and the improvement plan for the department.
• Monitor student progress and implement strategic intervention for the department.
• Develop the curriculum, schemes of work and assessment across all key stages.
