Job summary

Hanham Woods Academy invites applications for Head of Maths. You will lead the Maths department across KS3 and KS4, overseeing curriculum, teaching and assessment strategies to drive high attainment.

The successful candidate will demonstrate strong leadership, communication and organisational skills, and a commitment to a positive learning environment. The role offers a competitive salary and TLR 1B in addition to the base pay.

Actual Annual Salary: £32,916 - £51,048 (M1 to UPS3) + TLR 1B - £12,521

Contract Type: Permanent, Full Time

Hours: Full-time, 32.5 hours per week

Provisional Start Date: 4 January 2027

About Hanham Woods Academy:

Hanham Woods Academy is a secondary school located within the outskirts of Bristol and South Gloucestershire, close to its community and works closely with the families, delivering education to pupils aged 11-16. It is one of the most improved academies in the South West, providing an excellent education to over 800 students.
