Job summary

Catholic Recruitment is seeking a Head of Mathematics to lead the Maths department and teach across the ability and age range. The post is permanent with a probationary period and TLR 1C (£14,866 including Outer Fringe allowance).

Responsibilities

• To be accountable for the highest standards of pupil achievement within the Maths area, monitoring and evaluation of pupil achievement and setting targets for improvement.
• To lead, develop and enhance the teaching practice of all teachers within the specified areas and practice of all evaluating the quality of teaching and support and securing and sustaining effective provision for students.
• To be accountable for the strategic direction, leadership and management of the Maths area, the development and implementation of departmental policies, plans, targets and practices within the context of the school’s aims and policies.
• To effectively line manage Teachers of Maths.

Head of Mathematics

TLR 1C (£14,866 including Outer Fringe allowance)

The Governors are seeking to appoint a Head of Mathematics to teach across the ability and age range, supporting the development of the Maths Area to the highest standards for all pupils at Key Stages 4 –5. The post will be permanent, subject to a probationary period. This is an opportunity to join us at an exciting period in the further development of the department.
