About the role

As Head of Marketing, you’ll oversee the entire marketing lifecycle—from acquisition to conversion and retention. You’ll develop and implement strategies to drive growth, strengthen our brand, and differentiate us in a competitive market. Working closely with the leadership team, you’ll shape our future direction and lead a creative, ambitious marketing team.

This role is hands-on; we seek someone ready to work alongside the team to execute our plans effectively.

About Hovia

Hovia is passionate about inspiring and empowering people to create spaces they love. Our modern, sustainable wallpapers are designed to spark creativity and transform interiors worldwide.

As we enter a growth phase post-acquisition, we’re scaling globally as part of the Gimmersta Wallpaper Group. Our goal is to establish Hovia as a leading name in the wallpaper industry, blending bold design, sustainability, and smart digital marketing.

This is a unique opportunity to join a creative, fast-paced, entrepreneurial team. As Head of Marketing, you’ll shape our brand, scale performance marketing efforts, and lead expansion into new regions, working with talented, driven colleagues who care about design and impact.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Lead and communicate Hovia’s marketing strategy.
  • Translate strategic priorities into initiatives, KPIs, and plans with clear ownership.
  • Collaborate with leadership on overall business strategy and represent marketing at senior levels.
  • Manage and mentor marketing team members.
  • Foster a collaborative, high-performance team culture with shared accountability.

Take ownership of end-to-end digital marketing execution, focusing on performance, testing, and scalable growth.

  • Build and optimize campaigns across digital channels (SEO, PPC, Paid Social, Content).
  • Use data to identify opportunities, run experiments, and improve metrics like CAC, ROAS, CVR, and repurchase rate.
  • Identify bottlenecks and work on CRO, retargeting, landing pages, and email automations.
  • Guide the team in creating compelling brand content that combines storytelling with creative, conversion-focused design. Collaborate with the Brand Marketing Manager on social, influencer partnerships, and digital PR.
  • Support retention and loyalty through data-driven lifecycle marketing, email flows, and community engagement.
  • Balance creativity with commercial objectives—constant testing, learning, and scaling successful initiatives.
  • Lead strategic planning, problem-solving, and key initiatives execution.
  • Build reports and monitor performance metrics.
  • Adopt a test-and-learn approach to growth and channel optimization, continually seeking new testing opportunities.

Cross-functional collaboration & external relationships:

  • Work with Design, Creative, and Sales teams to grow the Hovia brand.
  • Coordinate with Group-level teams (Tech, Customer Service, Finance, other marketing heads).
  • Manage external SEO agency.

What we’re looking for:

  • 6+ years in marketing, with at least 2 in leadership roles, demonstrating growth in fast-paced environments.
  • Strong digital marketing expertise with proven success in scaling customer acquisition and performance channels.
  • Ability to balance brand development and performance marketing—creating high-quality content that drives engagement, conversions, and brand value.
  • Experience owning marketing strategies, delegating effectively, and being hands-on when needed.
  • Deep understanding of performance marketing, content strategy, and customer lifecycle management.
  • Commercial mindset with experience meeting revenue targets and KPIs.
  • Proven team management and development skills across marketing disciplines.
  • Highly organized with excellent project and stakeholder management skills.
  • Analytical thinker, adept at data-driven decision making and performance improvement.
  • Creative eye for brand quality and customer experience.
  • Strong communicator—organized, articulate, and effective in managing budgets, projects, and expectations.

Benefits include 30 days of annual leave plus bank holidays, flexible working hours, hybrid work model, onsite parking, employee assistance program, cycle-to-work scheme, and a £500 wallpaper allowance.

At Hovia, we value creativity, sustainability, and making great design accessible. If you’re ready to contribute your skills to a collaborative and innovative team, we’d love to hear from you!
