Job Opportunity: Head of Marketing

Location: Carlisle

Salary: £35,000 to £45,000 + Bonus

Hours: Full time, Monday – Friday

Job Type: Permanent

NXT is working on behalf of an award-winning business in Carlisle to expand their team with a Head of Marketing.

Responsibilities:

  1. Manage marketing relationships with key manufacturers and align with our commercial goals.
  2. Deliver our marketing rate card and maximize partner involvement and investment with our Category managers.
  3. Full responsibility for the management & development of the marketing function.
  4. Develop and execute a comprehensive marketing strategy for online and retail channels, working closely with our ecommerce agency.
  5. Oversee the creation of all marketing materials including website, ads, email campaigns, social media, and retail initiatives.
  6. Drive the digital marketing strategy, including website optimization, paid search, SEO, content marketing, email marketing, social media presence, affiliates, and online advertising.
  7. Ownership and execution of the cross-channel marketing calendar in alignment with the product and promotional plan.
  8. Utilize marketing analytics tools to track, measure, and report on the effectiveness of marketing initiatives.
  9. Develop strong working relationships with all key business departments and partners.
  10. Manage the brand, digital, and retail marketing budget.
  11. Maintain excellent organizational skills to handle multiple projects simultaneously.

Skills and Experience:

  1. Proven leadership experience in a similar role, with experience in building and managing campaigns.
  2. Experience within high-turnover B2C Ecommerce Business.
  3. At least 5 years of experience in a similar role within retail or services businesses.
  4. Attention to detail and responsibility for work accuracy.
  5. Exceptional team leadership skills and motivation capabilities.
  6. Outstanding analytical skills with a deep understanding of metrics application to business strategies and daily sales tasks.
  7. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  8. Proven ability to create and deliver innovative marketing campaigns online and offline.
  9. Strategic, analytical, and commercial awareness.
  10. Ability to develop strong relationships with key business departments.
  11. A team player with a passion for customer engagement and delivering the right message at the right time with the right content.
