ABOUT THE ROLE
As a Head of Maintenance at a Barchester care home, you'll ensure a clean and well-maintained environment so residents feel at home and staff can perform their duties effectively. Creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere is part of our commitment to delivering first-class care and support.

You can expect a variety of tasks as a Head of Maintenance. You'll handle responsibilities within the care home building, gardens, and grounds. Tasks may include fixing a leaky tap and planting bulbs. You should be comfortable working independently, leading a team, and supporting the General Manager with annual budget planning. You will also liaise with contractors for jobs outside your team's expertise.

ABOUT YOU
Your priority will be the wellbeing of our residents, ensuring all work is carried out with sensitivity to their needs. With hands-on property maintenance experience, you'll have at least one trade skill and ideally a proven ability to undertake diverse maintenance tasks. Reliability, flexibility, a full UK driving licence, IT literacy, and GCSEs in Maths and English (or equivalent) are required.
