About The Role

As a Head of Maintenance at a Barchester care home, you'll ensure a clean and well-maintained environment so that residents feel at home and staff can perform their duties effectively. Creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere is part of our commitment to delivering first-class care and support.

You can expect variety in this role. You'll handle tasks within the care home building, gardens, and grounds, such as fixing a leaky tap or planting bulbs. You should be comfortable working independently, leading a team, and supporting the General Manager with annual budget planning. Liaising with contractors for specialized jobs will also be part of your responsibilities.

About You

Your top priority will be the wellbeing of our residents. You should have hands-on property maintenance experience, with at least one trade skill and the ability to undertake various maintenance tasks. Reliability, flexibility in working hours, a full UK driving license, IT literacy, and GCSEs in Maths and English (or equivalent) are required.
