About The Role

As a Head of Maintenance at a Barchester care home, you'll ensure a clean and well-maintained environment so that residents feel at home and staff can perform their duties effectively. Creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere is part of our commitment to delivering first-class care and support.

You will experience a variety of tasks, including maintenance within the care home building, gardens, and grounds. This could involve fixing a leaky tap or planting bulbs. The role requires working independently, leading a team, supporting the General Manager with budget planning, and liaising with contractors for specialized jobs.

About You

Your priority will be the wellbeing of our residents, carrying out all work with sensitivity to their needs. You should have hands-on property maintenance experience, at least one trade skill, and the ability to undertake diverse maintenance tasks. Reliability, flexibility in working hours, a full UK driving licence, IT literacy, and GCSEs in Maths and English (or equivalent) are required.
