ABOUT THE ROLE
As a Head of Maintenance at a Barchester care home, you'll ensure a clean and well-maintained environment so residents feel at home and staff can perform their duties effectively. Creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere is part of our commitment to delivering first-class care and support.

You can expect a variety of tasks as a Head of Maintenance. You'll handle maintenance within the care home building, gardens, and grounds. Tasks may include fixing a leaky tap or planting bulbs. You should be comfortable working independently, leading a team, and supporting the General Manager with annual budget planning. You'll also liaise with contractors for jobs outside your team's expertise.

ABOUT YOU
Your priority will be the wellbeing of our residents, ensuring all work is done with sensitivity. You should have hands-on experience in property maintenance, at least one trade skill, and the ability to undertake a range of maintenance tasks. Reliability and flexibility are essential, along with a full UK driving license, IT literacy, and GCSEs in Maths and English (or equivalent).
