We’re looking for a hands-on, multi-skilled Head of Maintenance to join our team and take ownership of the upkeep across some of London’s most iconic hospitality venues — including The Jazz Cafe, The Blues Kitchen, The Parakeet, The Old Queens Head, and more.
This is a dynamic, practical role for someone who’s just as comfortable leading a team as they are getting stuck into the work themselves. You’ll manage day-to-day maintenance operations across 9 venues, carrying out tasks across general maintenance, carpentry, basic electrical work, and delivering capex projects to keep our venues running smoothly and looking their best.
You’ll also lead a small internal team of five and take the reins on planning, compliance, and contractor coordination. This is an opportunity to play a key role in the success of some of London’s most loved live music, food, and nightlife spots.
Working hours are Monday–Friday (7am–4pm), with on-call cover required one weekend per month.
Key Responsibilities:
Team leadership: Manage, support, and develop a team of 5 maintenance staff across all venues.
Hands-on maintenance: Get involved in reactive and planned maintenance, including carpentry and electrical work.
Capex project delivery: Oversee refurbishments, upgrades, and larger-scale improvement projects.
Multi-site coordination: Prioritise and schedule tasks across multiple busy venues.
Budget & contractor management: Handle spending, source materials, and work with trusted external contractors.
Compliance & safety: Ensure all work meets health & safety and building regulation standards.
What We’re Looking For:
Multi-skilled and experienced: Background in general maintenance, carpentry, and electrical work. (Formal qualifications are a bonus.)
Hospitality savvy: Ideally with experience in fast-paced, high-volume environments.
Confident leader: Able to motivate a team, delegate effectively, and make smart decisions under pressure.
Hands-on attitude: You’re the type to pick up the tools when needed and lead by example.
Project-minded: Able to scope and deliver capex projects from idea through to execution.
You’ll be part of an exciting, creative hospitality group known for music, culture, great food, and unforgettable nights out. If you’re ready to bring your skills to a role where no two days are the same — we’d love to hear from you.
