Job summary

WeDoData is recruiting an experienced Head of IT for a great FE client in Greater London. You will lead a busy technical support function, manage a team of 5, oversee networks and infrastructure, and drive IT projects while coordinating with suppliers to ensure secure, reliable systems across multiple sites.

This hands-on leadership role also covers IT strategy, budgets, disaster recovery, data security and service performance, with collaboration at senior leadership level to plan future

Qualifications

• Proven experience managing an IT service and leading a technical team.
• Hands-on leadership with a focus on delivering reliable IT services.
• Experience working with staff and students in an education setting is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Tech Support team (5 staff) and oversee networks and infrastructure.
• Direct IT projects and manage suppliers to deliver initiatives on time and within budget.
• Ensure security, reliability and fit-for-purpose IT systems across sites.
• Develop and own IT strategy, budgets, disaster recovery, data security and service performance.
• Collaborate with senior leaders to plan future IT improvements.
