Job summary

EduExec Recruitment Limited is partnering with a well-regarded South London school to appoint a Head of IT. You will own IT strategy, infrastructure and service delivery, leading the ongoing move to a modern cloud-based platform and shaping the function for years ahead.

Reporting to the Headteacher, you will manage IT staff, oversee budgets and ensure GDPR and data protection compliance while supporting digital teaching and collaborating with academic staff.

Qualifications

• Proven IT leadership experience in a regulated setting.

Responsibilities

• Lead IT strategy and infrastructure, including ongoing cloud migration.
• Line manage IT staff: recruitment, training, and day-to-day leadership.
• Ensure GDPR, security and data protection obligations are met.
• Manage IT budget with suppliers and contracts.
• Implement cybersecurity protocols and disaster recovery plans.
• Support digital teaching and learning across the curriculum.
• Provide hands-on IT support to staff and students.
